Team Turn Arounds are major interventions to assess and restart a failed or failing team

Because

  • Once teams become too dysfunctional, they need to be dissolved, restructured or restarted
  • It’s difficult for someone who has been part of the team to be objective in the assessment or decision
  • What you do (or don’t do) sends an important message to other teams and the rest of the organization

You Need a Team Turn Around When

  • Key people have stopped talking with one another and/or started talking badly about one another outside of the work group
  • People are working at cross purposes, hiding information or seeking retribution
  • Problems have become so endemic or political that they have become visible at high levels of the organization or even outside the business

You Get

  • An initial consultation to assess whether a turn around is appropriate to the situation
  • Interviews with team members, leaders and customers to understand the depth of the challenge and determine next steps 
  • A meeting (or series of meetings) to fully assess the status of the group’s mission, roles, goals, responsibilities, processes, procedures, leadership and working relationships
  • A list of recommendations in priority order
